Here are your possibilities: - Galadriel: Good against structures in general. Her "Throw Down its Walls" ability does massive damage to buildings (especially Citadels). She can also attack gates with her normal attack. - Elrond & Glorfindel: Excellent against gates ("Power of the Bruinen" and "Light of the Noldor" respectively). - Eagles Summon: Good against siege weapons and sentry towers. - Ents Summon: All around siege. ;-------; Additions Since Version One ;------; Elves: - New idle animation for Galadriel. Her old idle animation is now used for her selected and alert stances. - Glorfindel now has a small area of effect for his normal attack. - Glorfindel's "Sacrifice" ability has been removed (too buggy). - Glorfindel has been given a leadership to cavalry (75% crush decelerate, +25% armor) - New voices added for the Elven Banner Carriers, Cirdan, and Amroth's Knights. - New FX for Elrond's "Power of the Bruinen" ability. I've also attempted to put in a less resource-heavy version that should happen when playing on Low or Very Low graphics settings. I haven't tested it though. - Riders of Rivendell now do less trample damage. - Amroth's Knights now slow down less when trampling, and can trample at slower speeds. Lastly, they've also had their speed notched down a little more. - Spearmen of the Havens' default armor is now slightly more resistant to damage. - New Spearmen of the Havens model and skin. - Elven Flet cost reduced to 450 and 750. - Sentinel from Woody End cost reduced to 50. - Sentinels from Woody End can now detect hidden units near them. - Arwen, Galadriel, and Celeborn now have better Hero buttons with nicer contrast. Rohan: - Rohan Archery Range has been removed. - Rohan Barracks has been added to Rohan (purchased for 300) resources. Yeoman Archers are recruited here. Elven Warriors are now only available to Rohan via the "Elven Allies" summon. - New Rohan unit, the Eorlingas, are recruited from the Barracks for 300 resources. They are Rohan's new anti-cavalry. Available upgrades: Forged Blades, Banner Carrier, Heavy Armor. - New Rohan unit, the Royal Guard Infantry, are recruited from the level 2 Barracks for 900 resources. They can toggle between bow and sword and begin with strong armor. Available upgrades: Forged Blades, Banner Carrier, Fire Arrows. - Four new unarmored Eowyn skins have been added. - Gimli, Aragorn, Theoden, and Eomer have all been remodelled and reskinned to match the new high resolution stuff. - Peasants can no longer gain heavy armor. - 16 new Rohirrim and Rohirrim Archer skins. 4 new shield skins for Rohirrim and Peasants. - Fire Arrows upgrade has been moved to the Rohan Armory. - Armory cost increased to 1500. - Forged Blades and Rohirrim Arhcer button images changed. Gondor: - Gandalf now has new palantir portraits, so they aren't the same as his button images. - Boromir, Faramir, and both Gandalfs have been remodelled and reskinned to match the new high resolution stuff. - Frodo now takes longer to level up. Isengard: - Saruman has been remodelled and reskinned to match the new high resolution stuff. Mordor: - Gothmog has been given his "Summon Morgul Orcs" ability at level 8. - Morgul Orcs are basically normal orcs, but larger and with better armor and a Morgul-based models. - "Darkness" is no longer so resource heavy. The transition to darkness is now a little sudden, but at least there's no crazy alpha-channel work going on to bring lag. General: - Hobbit rock damage reduced by 10. - Hobbit damage increases the same as other heroes (they use to gain more damage quicker than others). ;;Campaign;; Helm's Deep: - 8 Battalions of Galadhrim Warriors arrive with Haldir. - Galadhrim Warriors can no longer be purchased. - "March of the Elves" plays when the Elves arrive. - Isengard forces have been increased. More mines in particular. - Leadership FX removed to help with lag (leadership still occurs, but there's no FX for it on this map). Minas Tirith: - Aragorn arrives earlier Eaves of Fangorn: - Ugluk is now there. He's now the Uruk in the opening cinematic. (haven't tested this mission yet) Mirkwood/Dol Guldur: - Music scripting fixed. ;----------------; Bug Fixes ;---------------; - Galadriel's "Visions" now has a proper timer. It also works differently now. Though it still reveals the entire map, you must decide where the ability will "happen". At this point, a small FX will happen and units passing through it will gain a defense leadership bonus. - Gamling's "Flaming Arrow" damage radius has been reduced. - Haldir's "Elven Swordsman" no longer increases his damage by 300% (can you say woops?). It's been reduced to 150%. - Gothmog's "Summon Morgul Orcs" now works. - Units now exit the Rivendell Stables properly. - Elven Flets are no longer hard to select around. - Rohirrim Archers take 15 CP. ;-----------; Remaining/New Bugs ;-----------; - Elven AI does not work. - New campaign changes are still not finalized. - Arwen & Glorfindel's heavy armor model change don't work completely properly when mounted. - Ugluk's Leadership command button is messed up. The leadership works though. - Merry & Pippin's heavy armor upgrades don't quite work. - Aragorn doesn't have a Fellowship outfit. - Rohan Barracks have no animations. - Rivendell Stables does not get new parts when gaining levels. - Elven Orchard building animations are still messed up. - Tribute to the Valar and the Elven Castle Citadel lack building animations. - Lorien Barracks is offset with its bib. - Galadhrim Warriors do not show their experience meter. They still gain experience and levels, but they just don't show it. Haven't the slightest clue why. - Glorfindel, Avari, and Sentinels do not have proper voice work done for them.
